GB News

I note that the GBN app has been added to BT/EE YouView in the last couple of days, but I note the app is absent from YouView on Sony TV’s, I’m not sure whether its update pending or that they’re keeping it exclusive to BT/EE.

The Camilla Show came from the Westminster studio today, aside from the wonky angles the set looked pretty good, the coloured triangles lined up with the coloured lines between the screens giving a nice continuous effect across the background.

Also slight update to the titles adding Britain’s Election Channel to the start and, I think new, adding the GBN logo under the programme title.

The new Westminster set looks better than the dark bunker in Paddington but it still looks very meh to me. Any set GB News has had lacks any real depth and the camera angles on the new Westminster set really bugs me.

Is this new set from the Erron era of GBNews S if it is it’s very disappointing. He did brilliantly at GMB and TalkTV revamp was well done but if this is his work it’s a bit flat

I suspect he had a much bigger budget at both.

Nope, I belive that this studio was designed and built before Erron started.

You only need to look at French TV to see how much they are used, with perfectly good pictures output - as with everything broadcast setup and skill is needed to make them look great.

I was under impression that Westminster was getting its own gallery to enable work on Paddington to take place independently

Correct, I understand he is overseeing the Paddington changes.

It’s interesting that originally it was stated Good Afternoon Britain was said to be the first show from the Westminster studios, yet it’s not even the first weekday daytime show to come from there, it’s still in Paddington whilst Daubney’s show seems to have taken that accolade.

BARB have gone back and updated their figures for GB News on New Year's Eve. Unsurprisingly, there's quite a significant drop.
