The more I see of this studio...

...the more it looks to me like some tacky throw-away set for a fake news channel in a movie.
I find the whole thing really unpleasant to look at -- from the drab backgrounds, which look like they were stolen from a mid-'90s London regional news programme; to the desk, which looks like it was rescued from the skip of a cancelled mid-'90s chat show, along with that enormous screen inelegantly dumped in front of it. Why is that screen so thick and chunky?
And every broadcast I've seen from this studio has also been littered with poor framing, and wonky lighting.
Oddly, every time I see that studio, I end up thinking of this:

I think it's just the big GBN / GLN text that connects those dots in my head, since they don't really look alike. That said, if they ever make a Drop the Dead Donkey reboot, that GBN studio would look perfect with the GlobeLink News logo...
By the way, I haven't seen this mentioned here yet (apologies if I missed it...) : 'GBN America', a brand that was first spotted by another member here back in September (I think), joined X/Twitter in December, going full Fox News with the somewhat optimistic slogan 'British and balanced'.
