As many of the SNL team also do movies and as the show contains sketches I'd be surprised if they weren't part of the screen actors guild- and even if they weren't the SAG would probably think they should be and put huge pressure on them. Also the issue of guest hosts aswell.
As we've seen with the daytime talk shows it only takes one person to be part of the union for the show to be under huge pressure not to return, regardless of whether the rest of the cast and crew are covered by them or not.

SNL returns on October 14th. Pete Davidson is presenting with Ice Spice as musical guest, Bad Bunny is presenting and the musical guest the following week.
According to Cheddar News, all of the cast are returning with one new addition Chloe Troast as a featured player.

Dr. Phil McGraw, whose synonymous daytime show ended back in May, is to be setting up a new cable channel, under the name of Merit Street Media. The flagship show, Dr. Phil Primetime, airs February 26, 2024 at 8pm.
