The boundary between the BBC and the government of the day needs to be reinstated.
I think the main take from this fiasco is it will likely just highlight this issue, after there was already controversy over Richard Sharp's Tory donations and Boris's loan. They've just shot themselves in the foot and made the issue worse, it just makes it look like the BBC are under the Tory's thumb, whether that's the reality or not.
