CBBC just started up, first impressions, it reminds me of BBC Two's current brand

So far the CBeebies new look has been a success in my eyes. It’s updated everything well with the new bugs still front and centre. Their animations in the iPlayer logo and the DOG works very well. I love the new musical score to the idents too.

CBBC seems less inspired, the blocks seem to be reimagined as a liquified cuboids. The short ident into Shaun the Sheep had no music and had them fill up the screen with sound effects.

HQ doesn't look that different from the previous look - seems more like a slight redesign

I’ve been fairly lukewarm about the whole Chamelon rebrand, but I have to say the CBeebies examples I’ve seen so far look superb.

My favourite thing is the way the new DOG appears with the new bugs bouncing into place just like the standard animation for the BBC logo. Such a lovely touch.
