And then you get those who are still in the building tweeting how successful the last week has been. An absolute farce. With the increased pacing of stories on the new channel its main reason d’etre is somewhat removed. I suspect they’re leaving it there so it pulls in stories from the website eventually.
"The secret that fuels Metallica? Earl Grey tea", "Eurovision hits revisited in A Thong For Europe", "'My intricate nail designs were stolen by Shein'". These are actual stories on the website. And some similar to these have appeared on the WN ticker for the world to see.
It's not just WN that went downhill in recent years. The website too.
The pacing of stories during the 7pm UKT hour and The Context is pretty slow as they cover very few stories so a ticker that works and isn't filled with non-news would be great. Especially for The Context as some of the few stories they do choose to cover make you wonder if an international audience really need to know and if they really need pundits talking about them for 20 minutes each.
