I mean, the argument is two fold:
1) it's a UK focused output - basically, heads off the charge that UK audiences are being neglected in the changes.
2) It's a way of generating UK focused soundbites whereas an Internationally focused bulletin just wouldn't have the space to do this sort of generating.
That's the argument at any rate. Whether that actually happens...
