Studio C is in use for the news channel at this time, so that leaves only Studio D, which BBC London would also need to use if B was experiencing issues. Not sure if Studio D is large enough for both of the programmes to share.
I'm shocked to hear Studio E is being properly decommissioned. Is this new news?
As I recall, the Broadcasting House newsroom was specifically designed with its bespoke studio in mind. In fact, if I've not mistaken, the 2008-era TVC backdrops were intended to emulate Studio E's view of the newsroom as an interim stopgap before they moved to NBH.
