I think there is a way to appeal to the TikTok generation without going all in on "tabloid trash". As a 24 year old, I'm an avid TikTok user, but also enjoy reading a variety of both right and left-wing news outlets.
Ros Atkins' explainers would be a great way to appeal to a younger generation.
Short and snappy, with only the key points you need to know on a variety of stories that aren't about Andrew Tate.
For example, CNN's Max Foster also does great explainers on TikTok.
