That was just my personal opinion and for me I find Mishal far more engaging to watch. I've just never really rated Sophie personally outside of the Royal stuff though I have warmed to her a bit more over the last couple of years and it was surprising to me at least how well the Sunday morning format actually suited her.
As for the next general election - it's easy to forget Fiona Bruce is still part of BBC News with her newsreading role somewhat secondary to her other gigs, but might she be the forgotten but actually obvious candidate to lead election coverage moving forward in the short term at least considering she's already stepped into one pair of Dimbleby's shoes and is perhaps a safer pair of hands for a complex multi-hour live broadcast than some of the other candidates.
