Let Us Know What You Think About Pres Café

Bug

YouTube videos on mobile appear not to be scaling down to the width of the screen when using Opera on Android (which I think will also be the case for Chrome).

There are indeed quite a few cosmetic and coding niggles which we need to work on. Be assured we are on to them.

As you say it's still early days and I'm sure there will be a number of layout tweaks going forwards, but just an initial impression;

The padding around the page elements is a bit high and the standard font a little large (when viewing with Firefox and Chrome on the desktop). I've still got a TVLiveForum tab open and as a comparison it looks noticeably more compact/neat.

Just to echo some of the other comments - were there specific reasons why the gallery section was decided against? Although the quality of submissions has always been varied, there was still some nice work being posted on TVLF right to the end.

I understand the idea of hiding the moderators to prevent hate being directed towards them, but it just makes this site feel like it's ran by soulless beings.

If they're gonna moderate, I'd say they should show their face.

You also remove all the accountability. Moderator 1 getting on-forum hate because of the way they moderate? OK, we've banned them (but they're not banned and they're actually just Moderator 4 now instead)

Not a fan

Also isn't Administrator just the admin of Clean Feed? (whose name and profile is available quite publically)

I have to disagree. In the world of social media where people can be targeted with abuse and trolling, I don't blame the site team at all for wanting to protect their identities. They certainly shouldn't have to reveal their names if they don't want to. We just saw what happened to Rob at TVLF where the actions of others led to him deciding to close the site for the sake of his health.

I do think non-identifiable nicknames would give the site a closer community feeling than just "Mod 1", "Mod 2", however.

Hello, thanks for setting the forum up - looks good.

I don't really mind the anonymous smoderators - it makes sense after the situation on the previous forum.

Before a proper multiview page is set up, this link should show you the latest posts from all sections: pres.cafe

People will just go after them on the forum instead. You don't remove the hate, only make it less direct. If the mods can stomach it on the forum then they should be able to stomach it elsewhere

Could the "Multiview" option please be added in, like TVLive had and like TVTalk now has?

Any chance of getting the 'latest post' info visible on the home page when viewing from a mobile. Similarly date/time of latest post for threads when in individual forums on mobile would also be handy.

Formerly 'Charlie Wells' of TV Forum.

I've been doxxed online before, and I think it's fair to say that abuse aimed at an anonymous account on a forum, and harrassment aimed at personal social media and email, which may well be coupled with people digging into your private life (as happened with me) is very different. I'm not sure expecting people to "stomach" that sort of thing is the right thing to say, I've had unsavoury online characters find out where I lived which led to serious worries about what they might do with that information. They have very good reason to keep their identities private to prevent that happening.
