Complete new-look to The Independent Republic Of Mike Graham tonight - quite a radical one at that. New background, new theme tune and stings. The desk is now red, the studio is now coloured red with red background buildings and wooden panelling behind the guests and I think Mike's portrait behind him. Looks like they are in trendy upmarket pub possibly. The purple and red blank background has gone. It's quite a nice design and looks more cosy & inviting than the previous look. I'm not sure how long it takes to set up in the break after Piers Morgan (well, probably less than 4 minutes), whether the wooden panelling is easy to erect.

The wooden panelling is just on the moveable video screens.

Surprised they went for a wood panelling look and not concrete.

Presumably they didn’t have enough time to grow it.

It seems that every programme now seems to have its own look. Which is good in terms of presentation and superior to GB News. Yet still I don't see it growing an audience and I think it's pretty much doomed as a service. Feels like they are throwing everything at it now. Last chance?

At the same time GB News appear to have dropped some of the individual programme branding across most shows and just use the 3D broken flag assets for splitscreens and image inserts.

I havent seen any info on viewing figures between Talk and GBN, does anyone know if the schedule changes at Talk from late last year contributed to any imporovement in ratings?

audience numbers are up across the board, 6-9.30 is up substantially on TV figures

That is good news - I do like the mix of TV & radio studio based programmes & the alternative viewpoints explored & discussed & the awesome Saturday night schedule. It deserves to do well. The weather is also clearer than both BBC News & GB News who continue to put the cloud layer on the graphics which covers up most of the map, making it difficult to decide whether it's just cloudy or snowing & where.

Hard to properly say without actual numbers.
