Subscribers have no monetary value and Youtube CPM is famously tiny. The napkin maths just don't add up. They weren't adding up when it was a Youtube show and with News Corp pushing their subsidiaries to carry it.
95% of his guests are smaller podcasters, "columnists" who haven't been hired to write for years, or people who struggle to get any media appearances outside of TalkTV. That's not to say he hasn't had a few massive interviews and guests before, but those have been few and far between, and it's yet to be seen whether NewsUK are going to be to gift those to Morgan post-demotion.
