Nicktoons US and Teen Nick US are using the splat bug, I'm thinking for the '87 Ninja Turtles being on Nick's channels now and Pluto TV...

Actually it's to promote the new movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.

After the initial graphics package development stage, the channel rebranding is the easy part, the difficult and lengthy part is the phasing-in the new logo on merchandise and attractions replacing the old branding.

Yeah. That does take a long time, as we've seen with the new BBC logo. Apparently the old Nick logo stuck around on some attractions long after the 2009 rebrand.

A total of 50 FAST channels will be available on Pluto TV for when it launches in Australia on 31st August, this includes two Nickelodeon channels: Nicktoons and Nick Classics. Plus a South Park channel.

Considering the publicity of a well-known pay-TV channel such as Nickelodeon going FTA (on a comparison with 10 Shake), it's not surprising that it had a ratings boost.
