Interesting they seem to be using the same logo as the ITV version, or at least very similar.

Would be nice to see a proper widescreen version of that trailer rather than a vertical video made for Gen Z, TikTok addicted, phone zombies!

That has been the International logo pretty much since then - most versions use it on a US style badge background.

I suspect thus will have a similar outcome to the original ITV run too, although will likely be a much better production.

When the first few seasons of Australian Survivor were added to Prime Video, they replaced the original theme tune (which is the American 'Ancient Voices') with the theme from the ITV series ('Awakenings'). For the last couple of seasons the dub has remained but with the theme tune for the South African version which is nowhere near as good. The South African version in turn uses loads of incidental music cues from the ITV series...

It'll be interesting to see what actually turns up, the Russ Landau music of the ITV and earlier CBS series was one of the best things about it.

So did the same guy do the UK and US themes, or was his background music that was just used on both versions?

Edit: looked at his website, looks like he did both. The UK getting the superior theme in my opinion.

I always thought the ITV theme was stronger but the US theme used on the original Aussie airing has grown on me. Be interesting to see if the US get their titles back with the extension of episodes to 90 minutes.

Of course quite possible the BBC won't have a title sequence at all.

Even if they don't, surely the end credits would still require a theme tune? Britain's Got Talent has long since ditched it's full OP for a short title card, but we still hear it's theme tune on the end credits.

Doesn't mean that becomes/is the title music tho. The original 2 series used different cues (also used as incidental music) for the closing credits, as does the current Australian series. The American version uses the same cue it always has, which isn't Ancient Voices, but Ancient Voices is still most definitely the title music despite there being no titles...
