A late opt-out for Wales, who weren't billed to show Wales v Italy in the Women's Six Nations beyond iPlayer, but it's ended up on BBC1 at the relatively last minute.

Not that it's actually been any better or worse than the men's Six Nations for us...

Quite a bit of sport live on the BBC today with rowing, athletics, snooker, rugby, football and gymnastics - most of it iPlayer only. See the France v England Six Nations decider is on BBC1 - was that always the case or has it been bumped up?

Was to be on BBC Two in the original press release from the week of round one.

That meant the network BBC One snooker aired in full on BBC Two Wales, with a 25 minute edition of Coast airing on BBC Two Wales now until it rejoins network with Final Score (Nick Crane not Neil Oliver hosting)..
Aslo on BBC One Wales, a Match of the Day Wales Classics appeared in the schedule (a full replay of Wales v. England from on this day in 1984). That match was repeated in full during the first lockdown.

With the France v. England rugby airing on BBC One, there is no afternoon snooker coverage on BBC One/Two after 16:00 today. Coverage has a 30 minute linear blackout until 16:30, when it replaces Final Score on the Red Button.

And good to see the BBC presenting onsite in Bordeaux for the Women's Six Nations title decider.

A bit later than initially planned but Neil Robertson's linked up with the BBC punditry team at the Crucible this afternoon - and he's there until Friday.

And Catrin's still around on presenting duties amid Seema Jaswal's ongoing absence.

Noticed Slam Media are being credited as co-producers as well (they usually co-produce coverage of the Welsh Open snooker among other things)

Seema was scheduled to host tonight in my dad's newspaper, but it's Rishi Persad with Steve Davis tonight.

Neil Robertson was also in the commentary box for the first time this afternoon. That made me wonder who would have been the new faces if John Virgo and Dennis were made to depart recently as was originally planned? Not too many names jump out as possibilities.

Fantastic viewing figures for the snooker. Not many events get this much coverage across the BBC channels, but it pays the BBC back.

The BBC studio inside the Crucible looks tiny. Is it usually this small?

This is pretty normal for the one table set up in the World Champs, as they're basically filling a tiny gap where a walkway for players on Table One used to be. Since this set-up only exists for 5 days per season, it can look like its getting smaller each season, but its just the trick of the camera Big Grin
