Absurd that CNNI runs with a CNN Domestic simulcast to break the news of Catherine's cancer diagnosis, when Isa Soares is there in London...

This is my fault. Just this morning I was thinking that the CNN Max merger might have meant the end of the unnecessary domestic simulcasts on international.

That said, Anderson Cooper anchoring is a reason to simulcast. One of the most recognized anchors and no need to double up on output for the same breaking story.

CNNI continuing to roll with the Kate Middleton news when the BBC has split off the World feed to cover events in Moscow strikes me as an odd decision.

And Isa Soares is hosting Quest Means Business, with Richard Quest as her first guest, in-studio!

...But where do they sit? Earlier, Richard Quest was still in a flash set in New York. Supposedly.🤔

It's ridiculous that they keep on rolling with the Kate story, which is what it is and there's nothing to be added really, while there's MAJOR, developing breaking news in Moscow, which could have real international consequences.

Wake up CNNI! !

No, he was yesterday in Brussels and said that today he was going to be in London, so apparently he was.

CNN/US doing something weird with The Situation Room today: Jake stayed on air for additional couple of minutes at the TOTH to recap the Moscow terror attack story, then handed it over to Erin Burnett and labelled the follow-up as "Erin Burnett Outfront".
In reality, this next hour is using The Situation Room inro and name aston (although EBO name made it on the aston for several seconds), however, the background in the studio is a regular Erin Burnett Outfront one.

Given the inconistency, possibly a last-minute change, hope Wolf is OK.

Laila Harrak has been notably absent for the last couple of months. After she did that stint in Barcelona at the end of last year, she made one appearance in early January, as far as I know. We've had mostly Paula Newton, Lynda Kinkade and recently Anna Coren filling in.

Apparently, this was due to the fact that Quest is also one of Royal correspondents and thus had to record a report in addition to providing live updates.

Today both pre-recorded shows (Chris Wallace and The Amanpour Hour) started later then usual, with the first segment of each of their respective hours given to Newsroom for updates on breaking stories of the day. Anchors were first Amara Walker, then Fredricka Whitfield. Smerconish gave the updates himself in the first segment of his show.
