Glad to hear the daytime announcement is imminent, hopefully we’ll see an announcement this week. 8 of the 17 hours, just under half, of CNN/US’s live output started the year in flux (9-11a, 1-4p, 9p-12a). Glad to hear we may have some stability soon. Any guesses as to whether we’ll see small or large changes?

Given what has been said and an impending announcement, it sounds like it won't be just small changes.

Well from the sounds of it they are going to completely revamp their dayside programming. Complete details havent been shared. but it sounds lilke the anchors will be moving from just sitting behind a desk to areas within the newsroom. Its very early...but that sounds very CityPulse/CityTv vibes. Ive always been a fan of a moving anchor when there is a reason. CNN has done this before. I distinctly remember, during one of the Middle East wars in the 90s they had a few anchor spread out at various desks in the CNN Center newsroom talking to the people at those desks. IT will be interesting to see how this is implementing. I doubt it will be janky looking since this "sounds" like a CityPulse style direction and CNN rarely has cheap looking presentation......Usually. This bears watching.

From Variety
"The Warner Bros. Discovery-backed news outlet intends to roll out a new, kinetic on-air format that will take many of its personnel out of the usual position of sitting behind desks and instead aim to generate more energy on camera by having some of the network’s real-time newsgathering on full display. The new presentation will be utilized during many of the network’s daytime hours, says Chris Licht, CNN’s chairman and CEO

Interesting. Something sky and the BBC have been doing for years. Looking forward to
It.

So... back to the future? Good news for sure but if this is as innovative and never-seen as the new morning show, I hope they aren't holding their breath too much that this will reverse the network's current decline?

Fantastic news and so fitting! She really excelled as Justice Correspondent working alongside Shimon Prokupecz and Evan Perez at breaking loads of stories during the Trump presidency. She seems the natural choice.
