Wow, it took me to google what type of beast 21V actually is!
Apparently, the only thing that came from there on more or less constant basis after it was trasformed from a green screen was short-lived CNN+ Reliable Sources Daily.
Wonder whether 21V was used just because 19Z was busy at the time of the recording or might it be a more permanent move?

It will now air on Monday, with excerpts scattered on air and being referenced to all over the weekend. Tuesday and Thursday are set to have Town Halls, about drug addiction (hosted by Anderson Cooper - straight after AC360 or will there be substitute?) and education wars (hosted by Jake Tapper), respectively. Wednesday and Friday are labelled as Primetime though no detailed announcements have been made as of yet.

True they have plenty of studios, but there is an expense that comes with operating those studios. Lighting, powering,cooling/heating them. Personnel in studio. Rather than a small room with a screen and a cheap PTZ camera and minimal lighting. All of which can be controlled remotely from Atlanta with virtually zero cost to operate. THey have to balance the money the channel and each programme makes versus the advertising revenue it brings it. After all they arent running CNNi like SkyNews....at a loss.

Well, they are taking the expenses of running 19Y at 11am EM for At This Hour, but can not take the expense of running the same studio for Quest, who is one of the main faces of CNNI?
The only reason for that I can think of is that they now do not have the stuff in NY to run two studios simultaneously...

He might be one of the main faces but his show probably isnt making any revenue on CNNI vs At This Hour on CNN Domestic. Its not the BBC with license fee money.

IIRC - 'Quest Means Business' is one of the few CNNi shows that is usually ad heavy, sponsored. There aren't very many, but am sure his show is.

QMB isn't sponsored (at least on the 28.2e feed where this would breach Ofcom rules) but the 15-min shows at the end of that hour are.
