Currently CNN anchor Anderson Cooper is one of the teams of journalists for the #1 reputable long running and highly respected investigative news magazines on US television CBS 60 Minutes. Well CNN is gonna try again. This time with Cooper at the helm. Its called THE WHOLE STORY with ANDERSON COOPER.So Eastern time zone is going to have 60 Minutes at 7pm, with regular contributions from Cooper, and immiediately after that they can switch to a CNN's rendition of the same format - anchored again by Cooper! (IIRC, CBS 60 Minutes is not done live, so it is possible for The Whole Story to be anchored live.)
It, as well as Abby Phillip's move to 11AM, reduces Sunday's Newsroom (or whatever it will be called) output to just 5 hours - from 2pm to 7pm.
Also if one suggests that The Whole Story launch will coincide with the rest of the CNN revamp, this gives 10--17 April as its likely dates.
UPD. Actually CNN announced it itself in a press-release, revealing first several themes of the show:
Quote:– What Happened to San Francisco? – Anchor Sara Sidner travels to San Francisco, a metropolis that came alive during the technological revolution, to uncover the political and social issues plaguing the city by the bay.cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com
– Baby Powder Fears – Chief Investigative Correspondent and Anchor Pamela Brown examines claims made by some of the thousands of women who say that Johnson & Johnson’s now-discontinued talc baby powder is responsible for their cancer.
– Magic Mushrooms – Used for centuries in ceremonies by traditional cultures, banned in the US for nearly 50 years, and now being re-examined after Oregon just legalized it, Correspondent David Culver surveys the world of psylocibin, taking viewers through the myths, the medicine, and the money surrounding the psychedelic plant.
– Charles & Camilla – CNN Anchor and National Correspondent Erica Hill goes behind the scenes of the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.
– A Migrant’s Journey – Nick Paton Walsh, Chief International Security Correspondent, embeds with a group of migrants on their arduous journey on foot through the Darien Gap, from South to Central America, on their way to seek asylum in the United States.
Also no mention of CNN International there, like "on CNN and CNN International". Might be just an omission in wording, might be a sign of some pre-record appearing instead on CNNI (currently, if 8pm is live, CNNI carries it.)
