I thought about that. But the latest tendency on design (seen, for example, on Windows 11 or iOS) is to abandon the 100% flat look that was omnipresent on the last few years and to use shadows and gradients again (but not to the exent of skeuomorphism).
One of the things that i still don`t like from CNN is that there is not consistency between the on screen graphics and the intros and infographics. They tried in the last few years on CNN (international) to do that with the intros of CNN Newsroom, but it seems that they have choosen not to continue with that. For example, News Central logo looks more like something from the 2011 graphics than from the new ones.
I still think that the 2006 CNN International look, music and overall feel was the best and ahead of its time.
