On a normal weekday CNN Max is 17% CNN Max Original Live News and 83% CNNI simulcasts. The 83% can be subdivided into 37% CNNI produced shows and 46% CNNUS produced shows. Of CNN Max’s weekday schedule, 50% is not shown on CNNUS.
On a normal weekend CNN Max airs 37.5% Original Programming and 62.5% CNNI simulcasts (25% CNNI produced, 37.5% CNNUS). 50-54% of CNN Max’s weekend schedule is not shown on CNNUS.
Yesterday CNN Max aired 12-14 hours of CNNI produced live news (12a-6a, 3p-6p, 7p-?, 11p-12a), or 50-58%, with the rest CNNUS produced live news, 42-50%. 6-8 hours, or 25-33%, were not shown on CNNUS.
It seems that 50% is the magic number, although I’m not sure if it’s related to content produced by and for CNNUS or the percentage of the schedule that’s allowed to be simulcast based on carriage deals.
