Max Foster did not anchor his newscast with Bianca Nobilo at 0800 GMT, but he showed up through Zoom or Webex (with a choppy internet connection) during Amara's newscast to discuss the "Kill Notice" photo, then showed up in-person on Isa Soares Tonight.

Jim Sciutto's Newsroom with the CNNI look which means this is here to stay.

This total merger of CNN & CNN Max makes sense and is good for us since we get more CNNI content and less CNN US simulcasts. Plus I prefer the domestic anchors crossing over to CNNI to those left on the domestic version.

Now just do something with that 2 hour simulcast of Hunt, that' s a travesty.

CNN Newsroom with Jim Sciutto just started, but it coincides with the speech by the US National Intelligence director at the US Senate, so it started with the CNNI Newsroom intro.

Only qualm with the change is that on CNN Max “Isa Soares Tonight” airs at 2pm ET/11am PT. Is this what it felt like to be in the Asia Pacific Region when Don Lemon Tonight aired at the 10am?

Jim Sciutto is in somewhat of a cupboard but still he has in-studio guests

Talking about Max & Bianca show, CNN has now completely shielded their hour from being simulcast on Domestic. Couple of weeks ago they added another hour of repeats of primetime shows at 4am - but that still left simulcasts in the wee hours of Monday, as Sunday repeats end somewhere around 2am. So, today 2am and 3am hours with Rosemary Church were indeed simulcast on Domestic - but at 4am Domestic aired a repeat of SOTU, thus removing the final day when CNNI Newsroom with Max & Bianca could be seen on Domestic.

Also, if we have to have city backgrounds all the time, I much prefer a live view of something, like right now behind Jim, than the boring, static building pictorials.

Jim Sciutto's hour kinda feels like the newscast is directly handled by the Washington control room, but with a different coat of paint.

I notice that they use a different CNN Newsroom background for the split-screens (instead of the one with "NEWSROOM" written throughout), plus the US Timezone on the clock stays.

Also, the newscast is quite US-heavy, unlike other newscasts anchored by Amara and Rahel.

EDIT: They are now using the CNN Elections background for US Election reports and discussions.

It’s stupid that now CNNI has 2 half hour shows. News Central at 9A ET and The Lead at 5P ET

So this is interesting, WBD launched a new nightly 6pm Sport bulletin on truTV. Tonight’s broadcast was anchored by Coy Wire.

Odd seeing CNN Graphics and CNN Talent on a different network. Will be interesting to see who else hosts and if this affects the World Sport/Bleacher Report rota and on-air brand.
