Hooray!Wow, so they rolled two NY-based anchors (plus Bill Weir who was in DC just last night) to Atlanta to give them a studio! As if they're out of spare studios in New York at that time of the day... On the other hand, great to see them showcasing their newest Studio H for the occasion!
The start of the coverage looked very jovial.

Meteorologist, who pops up from time to time, does it from the smaller screen in the same studio, just like on This Morning Weekend (however they opted not to do a wide shot with both the anchors, the guests at the table AND the meteorologist, using a split screen instead).

On the Domestic side it's all a bit duller studio-wise, as Boris & Brianna are out and about on the streets of Indianapolis.

Domestic coverage uses a separate meteorologist who is in the green screen studio that is utilized outside of the weekends and imitates former meteo studio in the now-defunct CNN Center.

I'd have thought a simulcast would make sense and cost less too.I believe it's all about CNN Max that cannot simulcast CNN(US), the flagship CNN channel, too much or the cable providers will get very upset as they want the main CNN channel to be exclusive to them and not be simulcast on the streaming services such as Max.
