"The long-running show will lose its dedicated reporters, be shortened by 10 minutes and drop its investigative films to focus on studio-based debates."

So... basically it'll turn into a weeknight edition of Sunday with LK?

Sad news but no surprises. Anyone got any idea when this will happen, and who will present the One?

"However, I believe that the challenge, the real challenge for me and the board, is how to make sure that a leaner BBC can also be a better BBC."

Dropping the investigative films may be the worst idea to ever come out of these cuts - I get that Panorama will still exist (for now...) but it's not the same thing

Moving News at One brings absolutely nothing to the audience. Want to save money? Dont use that studio for sport updates. The news presenter can easily read the sports news and speak with a sports reporter.

Lots of things happening.
Newsnight reducing to 30 mins will hopefully tidy things up from a presentation perspective.

I thought they might have reduced geographical roles like south of England correspondent or midlands correspondent. If the story they are reporting on is big enough for the national team to cover, then the local regions team could cover it as they would be reporting on the story too.

With our world being binned, more chances to see click?
