I'm surprised no UK broadcaster picked up The Hustler, a Richard Bacon format that aired in the US in 2021, produced by Studio Lambert. That uses a quiz element in which one "hustler" out of 5 players knows the answers and gets to secretly eliminate two players before then having to survive being identified in the final 3.

There is a lot of things I prefer about the UK production such as the host but in the end I enjoyed their series 2 better than ours. Perhaps a slightly shorter series and episode length helped.I just finished it and it was both extremely frustrating and very entertaining. I actually think both sides played the game appallingly throughout and there were a lot of flukes rather than intelligent game play that led to the finalists being who they were, but fascinating to watch.
Even though I knew what was going to happen, thanks to the earlier post. The ending was very good and probably the appropriate one. I didn’t find it underwhelming
Even though he barely did anything, I couldn't stand the waiter character they introduced whose job was to just pull faces when on screen.
I still much preferred the UK version.
