Readers might be interested to know that Any Answers on BBC Radio 4 on Saturday had to go to a backup tape.
If you don't know, Any Answers is a phone-in show, a sister programme to Any Questions, that goes out live on a Saturday.
There were problems with the phones from the start which is a problem for a phone-in show. They eventually (from about 13:38 in the link below) went to a backup tape before moving studios and coming back on air with working phone lines a bit later. The presenter, Anita Anand, said that the whole system had melted. I'm not sure that was true.
