Ryan's done some summer cover for Graham Norton on Radio 2 but apart from that is virtually unknown in the UK. He left RTE in a bit of a cloud over his pay and tax arrangements. Looking at some comments today he's not that well liked over there and with a wth his background he seems like an odd fit for Virgin.
It's becoming an odd station, it started as a upmarket trendy adult contemporary station but with Evans, Norton and Turbridy it's much more personality led and blander musicly. I'm not really sure what it's for
Is it just me or is it bad taste for Ryan to announce his news job at the same time as rte is announcing job layoffs for Ryan's colleagues partly caused by the scandal Ryan was involved with
