It is the case that they are weak in the summer, but ITV's Saturdays this summer have been some of the worst.
They only had 1 commission, Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow. Last year at this time they had The Void (that admittedly flopped), Rolling In It (now axed) & a new run of Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
I guess a summer of sport, and a return to people holidaying and going out along with other new commissions generally failing resulted in an even worse summer offering than normal. Epic Gameshow (now on repeats) and Bond is quite a low point though.
