No one’s going to be watching the funeral on Talk TV to be fair.
You don't know that for sure, some people might watch it on Talk TV.

Mark Carruthers presenting the HM The King in Northern Ireland coverage on the BBC.

Yes, Mark's leading the studio-based element at the moment - from a redressed The One Show studio:

The earlier caption suggested that they'd interrupted live programming, so I presume that they are.

I think its actually a studio at BBC NI rather than the one show studio.

The same studio was used yesterday.  Not BBC NI.

I don’t think Jon meant that as in literally no one will watch it, he was saying that the majority will not watch it on there. As this will most likely be the case, it is clear to see why Piers would rather present on Fox (where millions of Americans will watch the funeral) rather than Talk TV (where the viewing figures will probably be in the thousands).

RE: Queen Elizabeth Dies - Frances - 13-09-2022

Previously BBC1’s coverage of the King in NI was extended, cancelling a 4pm BBC News bulletin.

But in a last minute change, they chose to move the coffin coverage up half an hour.

RE: Queen Elizabeth Dies - Worzel - 13-09-2022

So how are the broadcasters sharing the responsibility for the coverage? I noticed a Sky News LiveU slate appear earlier on BBC News when a helicopter's feed went down.

Are they all 'teaming up' and working together, are the BBC coordinating it all - it must be a bit of a logistical nightmare.

Would be interesting to know.
