I have to admit I am suprised that they are having to relocate the bulletins to Tunbridge Wells for today, when they last used the temp set in July there was no break in service.

It is baffling that one of the two touring temp sets has been sitting in Southampton Studio B doing (mostly) sod-all for umpteen weeks, when one of the other regions could've had its full decamp and LED set installation done in that time.
Southampton already had a set in Studio B for the past several years, which was basically the previous Oxford sub-opt set (albeit with some alterations/embellishments compared to when it was Oxford). Pan-regional bulletins would de-camp there each year (over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, I think) during annual maintenance of Studio A.
The ex-Oxford set would have perfectly adequate for the couple of brief uses of Studio B that there have been in the last couple of months.
Presumably, also one of the two touring LED set installation teams haven't been doing anything for these last umpteen weeks. Unless the Tunbridge Wells project required twice as many people as any of the previous English Regions that have been done required.

You seem to get very worked up about this whenever you post.
Is it worth remembering that all that you are aware of, really, is what you see on screen and have no real idea of any of the other many factors involved in this?

South Today now back in the temporary set!
Seemed to be some issues with camera focus, though?

This evening's South Today is having a bit of a mare. They've had issues getting two packages to play, and one report (about BT Digital Voice) was affected by sync problems. Anjana just apologised for the problems.

On last night's late South Today, I noticed some camera movement on the first and last studio shots. This is unusual, as the cameras for the late are normally completely locked-off. I assume this was some kind of automated/robotic movement?

Sarah Gomme presenting alongside Matt Teale on tonight’s ITV News Meridian, must be her debut presenting the news?

I very much doubt it. She's presented off-peak bulletins before.

Is this our first tiny glimpse of the Southampton set? Looks like it will be launching with a Christmas tree:
