It's come back to me now; he's appeared on news bulletins reporting from "the Salford newsroom".

I see that BBC Breakfast is now being simulcast on BBC Two on Sundays, after the BBC One simulcast ends for MOTD. I'm guessing this is cost cutting, as it's essentially over an hour of free content for BBC Two.

Arguably I'd have thought it would have been better to have Breakfast on BBC One in full, and show the MOTD repeat on BBC Two. I'm guessing contract or budget reasons ensure it's shown on BBC One. These days MOTD is available on the iPlayer for 7 days, as an alternative way to watch the programme.

Yes, I have a feeling that showing MOTD on the primary channel may be contractual for a linear broadcast.

BBC Breakfast certainly enjoy using their new set to full effect.  This is for a brief report about holloween.

No point wasting tech when you have it. Big Grin

When they handed over the regional news and cut to the camera outside the studio, the pumpkins were also present on the two tower screens that are on the outside.

Yes indeed. I wish I'd captured it as a video, because the bats were actually flying around in the background graphic.

Interesting comment on the Bill Rogers blog about Breakfast been extended to 9.30 from the New Year tradingaswdr.blogspot.com

I can't find anything being confirmed by the blog usually gets stuff right.

So not through to 10am as initially reported. Guess Morning Live may get an extra 15 minutes too and run through to 10.30am.

I think there is only so far you can extend a Breakfast programme without significantly altering the tone. It's already different from about 08:30. It would be better to end it at 09:00.

I thought the following programme 'Morning Live' was rather successful and should be extended. I also record 'Scam Interceptors' to watch when I get home from work.
