Goodness sake, it's not even the correct shade of red.

I would love to know why that red box refuses to die. Do the other broadcasters send out emails with new logos and warnings to not use their old logos under punishment of death, and the BBC doesn't? There must be some reason why it never seems to affect other channel logos.

Speaking of incorrect logos I've seen that with the endtags on recent CBeebies shows (and newer episodes of old ones) after the rebrand they seem to be using one of these 5 logos, from most up-to-date to least:
- 2023 logo (What's In Your Bag, CBeebies Panto)
- 2021 BBC logo (JoJo and Gran Gran, Supertato, Fred and Pete's Treasure Tales)
- 2021 version of 2002 logo (Biff and Chip)
- Incorrectly modified version of 2002 logo (Tiny Wonders)
- 2002 logo (Get Set Galactic)

The brand new 'Agatha Christie's Murder Is Easy' which has aired over the previous two nights, used the Gill Sans BBC logo on the endboard, as did the spanking new fresh Xmas special Call the Midwife.

It’s a funny one, as you don’t seem to see old versions of the ITV logo on similar online promo material. It’s generally the original all colours corporate version of the ITV logo that is used all the time

I know ITV had a brand guardian (not sure if they still do) but when the ITV 2013 rebrand happened, there were bins for even staff to ditch old branded mugs.

That's a waste. If they weren't chipped or otherwise damaged, I'd have just taken them home.

Maybe as it is so versatile, it can be placed anywhere on the screen, it uses the preferred BBC font used by most and it appears more friendly, to me at least. Additionally, the font is more legible especially when in a box than the new Reith version. I remember, on launch day of the new Chameleon style branding, the BBC1 continuity announcer said that we would notice a new look to our
channels from that morning. They never said anything about endboards, signs on buildings, social media trailers etc
. That's probably why it lives on. 2 years in, I still see the old logo about 80% of the time on screen, in repeats, in trailers & on Facetube. It is the far more preferable option.
