Big Brother - Returns 2023, ITV2/ITVX

Thats not necessarily true. If CBS holds the English language rights to the Big Brother format in the United States then they certainly have a say or first refusal or maybe even Veto rights to any other English language that attempts to air in the US. Hence the bitter lawsuit between CBS and ABC when ABC's Glass House format appeared and quietly killed off in the midst of the lawsuit. Up until recently CBS never allowed any other format to air until they allowed a few seasons of BBCAN and BBAUS on Paramount+. BBCAN has never properly aired in the US as its airing and CBS acts like the programme doesnt exist outside the US.

I have seen anything official. So Im actually quite skeptical about it.

I wonder if we could see a revival of teen big brother down the line on itv2. If civilian bb ends up promoted, they'd probably still use itv2 for experimental one off editions of the show.

If CBB doesn't do as well as hoped (which I highly doubt), I could see them doing this. I don't think ITV should go overkill on the spinoffs.

Part of me is still surprised that they’re putting CBB out on ITV1. I wonder what they’ll be expecting performance wise? 3m+. It’s been doing better than the normal series for years now.

Given that 'apparently' C4 filmed a Season 2 that was never released... I highly doubt it. Especially given today's online discourse...

The civilian version won't be promoted - the simulcast ratings were appalling.

The itv1 launch ratings were still more than 2. It all really depends on how cbb does.

Seems like this year's Celebrity Big Brother is going to be about three weeks long which seems fine by me given the early Channel 5 editions of them were also about 21 days though they did extend them to around 4 weeks in the later editions of them. I feel it will be a bit of a drag if it was for four weeks given it will be on ITV1 rather than ITV2. Just hope they don't put too many celebrities in the house if that is the length. Also a mention of evictions being 90 mins this year which may give a more polished show but it may seem a bit long if eviction interviews are still on Late & Live.

I wonder if it’ll launch on a Friday or Sunday like Big Brother did in October
