Watching in their home countries, hence why there’s so many jury show leaks of the satellite feed each year.

Previously (as in before the past couple of years) the Beeb were using masking to cover up sponsorship, but the amount has increased so an alternate version is available for those who need to use it. It also avoids the BBC having to leave the end credits early.

Yes they get a commercial-free version, but just the one feed of it, the others are the main version. So they still have to have a way to blank the sponsorship ready in case that needs to be used

Martin Österdahl was badly booed when they introduced him tonight to give the 'Good to go' line.

08:30 CEST, 11 MAY - SVT reports that Swedish police were on-site on Friday to investigate what happened.
The Malmö police confirmed to SVT Nyheter on Friday evening that they are on site and investigating what has happened.
There is no established notification at the moment. But we are on site and carrying out investigation measures to see what has happened, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesperson at the police in the South region.

09:39 CEST: NOS (Dutch):
A complaint has been filed against Joost Klein. The Swedish police reported this to the NOS. It is still not entirely clear what that complaint is about.
The police do say that it concerns an incident that took place on Thursday evening with a female TV employee. The complaint was filed yesterday.
Police say Joost Klein was interrogated late last night. The person who filed the complaint has also been interrogated. The case has now been passed on to the public prosecutor. That will determine what will happen to it.
The settlement of the case could take weeks.

It is still unclear whether Joost Klein can participate in the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday evening. The Dutchman was not allowed to participate in the dress rehearsal and the jury round on Friday.
He is suspected of threatening an employee of the Eurovision song contest, the Swedish police let the site know. Witnesses have been heard and Klein has made a statement. Justice now decides on possible prosecution.

It's a no-win situation for the EBU really. Putting aside all the controversy around other matters this week and in any other situation it is likely you'd expect an employee to be suspended for such an incident on site at least whilst an internal investigation took place, if not until the outcome of the police investigation - but on the other hand there is the basic principle of innocent until proven guilty.
If Joost was reinstated I suspect his chances of winning would be quite high considering the fans are questioning the EBU handling of the matter rather than the incident and therefore if a conviction were to follow after a Netherlands win that makes things messy for next year.
As is often the case though in such organisations when you mishandle one situation it puts you on the backfoot when you're confronted with a new situation. I think though whatever happens it feels like tonight will be a very flat tarnished event - not so much due to the actions of the government of one country being represented but due to how the EBU have seemingly mismanaged that situation all week.

I'm still not entirely clear on what situations the EBU have mismanaged this week?

I suspect Brekkie is being a tad hyperbolic.
