2022 FIFA World Cup

See how the whole thing is engineered
Timeline is providing the (same) facilities for both itv (Ealing) and BBC (Salford)
with, as expected, much remote production (both ways)
and things like Camera racking in the UK ......
www.svgeurope.org

Obviously a lot of connectivity from BMC ..

Yeah not a single satellite feed for the World Cup, game over for the amateur satellite hobby.

And this has ended in a tragic way. This is a big incident, given that international journalists (including TV presenters and pundits) working in Qatar have been subjected to the blunt repression against them. Still sketchy and too difficult to get the reason of death, but this, according to Wahl’s brother, could get into political terrain.

And Fox’s “no controversy coverage” is certainly going to be looked out:

UPDATE: CBS’ Ed O’Keefe reporting Grant Wahl died due to a sudden heart attack. Additionally, Garrett Quinn from Boston Magazine has reposted Wahl’s brother reel.

Its been reported that Grant died of a heart attack during the ARGvNED extra time. I was on the edge of my seat as well. His death is a HUGE loss for soccer/football journalism in North America.

What a load of nonsense.   France were favourites to win and they did.

They were highly likely to go out live on ITV with them having the first two knockout games.

If you think the broadcaster showing the game matters, you’d better hope Channel 4 never get the rights to a men’s major Championship.

Can you explain how exactly that would work?

I assume Argentina vs Croatia will be the BBC choice? Although arguably the other game has the better potential story as it’d be a bigger potential upset.
