BBC One London viewers had at least 5 mins of Politics North West before crashing into the London edition.

I know it’s been said weekends in D but why can’t they use B for Sunday 10? The national is already in there and it saves using a whole studio for 5 minutes.

That definitely would make sense, but the BBC does have a history of these rather illogical decisions. I am reminded of the last few months of TVC when the News channel continued to decamp to N8 for the 21:30-22:00 half hour, meaning that they had to prep the whole studio for just 30 mins a day. It would have made more sense to move the Ten to TC7 and keep that half hour in N6, which would have both better utilised the crew who were only coming in for the Six and allowed them to reduce the number of studios they were using.

Politics London is a Juniper production which may be the reason why they're not paying the LK team to do the regional programme from B.

I think the query was about the regional news after the Ten rather than Politics London?

Apologies, yes. The problem there is that they already have staff paid to run the gallery in D on Sunday evenings anyway, so you might as well ensure they're used for the late bulletin than use the B team.

The NaT regional head on London used another camera position last night, which clearly shows it's studio D:

The headline is most likely played by Studio B, as it went out on BBC One HD and the titles are played out in full~

Noticed BBC London starting the programme tonight from the same position they do the headlines in, using the pillar to show graphics/images looked very good I thought and would love to see the national bulletins do this as well.
