That set in Look North Leeds is getting darker and darker it’s like it’s being lit by candlelight.

Some sad news today regarding BBC Look North presenter Keeley Donovan:
Quote:BBC Look North's Keeley Donovan has tragically suffered a miscarriage.
She shared the heartbreaking news with her 31,000 Instagram followers after returning to work following a 'sad and worrying time.' Hoping she might be able to help anybody else going through the same loss, she bravely told her story alongside a photograph of a bouquet of flowers and a lit candle.
The mum of two-year-old Scout, explained that she had been off with 'horrid morning sickness' but then was given tragic news at her 12-week scan.

Makes me wonder who the successor to Peter Levy will be? Is there a natural one at Hull?

I thought it was only the first half that was pre-recorded and the regions came together for the second?

I don't think there is. Leanne Brown or Caroline Bilton are the nearest but as Peter rarely takes any time off others don't get a lot of option to present the main programme. Keeley D could actually be an option.
I see Otis Holmes left Calendar this week. Wonder if he is Hull bound (Hull lad)?

I could see when Peter Levy does finally retire (and I suspect that won’t be for many years yet), a replacement may well come from outside BBC Hull - probably an experienced presenter who’s yet to be made a main anchor. So yes, someone like Keeley would fit the bill.
As for Otis Holmes, one of his colleagues commented on Twitter that he was off to ‘the oppo’, so it does sound like he’s joining either Look North Leeds or Hull.

I suppose it would all depend on whether the BBC decides to renew its lease for the studio space it holds at the Queen's Court building in Hull, which is due to come up for renewal in 2027. The BBC holds a 25 year lease, which started in September 2002. They could well decide it would be cheaper simply to move the operation elsewhere, which would also be good timing if Peter decides to retire from his presenting duties around the same time (he will be 72 in 2027).

Politics North Leeds went out on BBC One HD and it was upscaled so yeah I imagine it’s going to be a while before we see anything HD come of BBC Leeds.

Turns out he’s not joining either…

Good luck to him - I think it’ll suit him well!
