I was expecting a report by Ian himself, but it was from Frazer Maude, with a lot of  stretchyvision aspect ratio going on. Ian did show off his cufflinks while humming the YTV Ilkla Moor Baht ‘At jingle though.

The lead story on the 6:30pm Look Levy last night was Peter having a day out in Brid asking the business owners if the rain was affecting their summer trade(!)

Calendar also ran a story about the state of trade on the coast due to the weather. Seems a fairly legit story to me.

Even down south, South East Today had a story about the weather and a beach car park adding car park charges affecting local businesses.

Yes, Camber Sands charging a flat rate of £30 per day to park by the beach. Pretty outrageous, given that it's a fairly remote beach near Pontins. The story was about killing local trade, unsurprisingly.

Was that Phil Bodmer who did the announcement before The Super League Show the other night? It certainly sounded like him.

An all male edition of Calendar tonight with Ian presenting alongside Chris Dawkes.

It seems odd that Leeds still provide the announcement for the SLS across the northern regions rather than the dedicated northern presentation base in Salford.

Is it played out from Salford or Leeds? If the former it would presumably be in HD

I was watching on BBC One NE&C a few months ago and there was a flash of the end of Look North from Leeds with the BBC Yorkshire copyright, so they must have been taking the feed from Leeds. There were then several trails in SD, presumably routed from Salford via Leeds.

I wonder if Salford do it differently. It wouldn’t make a lot of sense for them to take an SD feed of their own HD continuity from Leeds.
