BBC/ITV Yorkshire and Lincolnshire News

Similar white tree with red baubles in all regions with the new sets. Interesting comments in the Midlands thread about theirs only being visible towards the end of the bulletin, but it doesn't seem to be an across the board thing, South Today's is in shot during the opening.

I'm beginning to think they're on casters and can be wheeled about, unsure if it's an editorial choice to bring it in when appropriate so as not to stand out during hard news. But that's never been an issue before - that being said it was often easier to frame it out of shot during that.

I don't think I'll ever get the memory of Peter Levy wandering the streets of Hull asking people what they reckon of the 'Hull deodorant' out of my head Big Grin

Did Calendar South go out across both Calendar regions tonight? I'm just asking as I'm in Knottingley, which of course is in the Calendar North region, but yet on Sky (not sure about Freeview, Freesat, cable etc) we got the Calendar South weather forecast?

On Look North this lunchtime, we had something that is as traditional as turkey at Christmas Dinner, the annual appearance of Paul Mooney on weather duty.

I notice earlier in the week the opposite happened and NE & Cumbria had the weather with Paul Hudson

Hull joining Leeds for the late news this evening, there were sound issues during the Ten headlines opt. No sound on satellite (at least), with a quick checks during the national headlines before settling on using the London sustaining feed.

Though interestingly, I checked on iPlayer as well, and the whole junction went out with sound.

The weather forecast on Look North this lunchtime looked worse than normal, the camera was too zoomed in meaning the map was hanging off the screen, and there were fine black dots over the whole map, like you were watching the weather through a gauze.

Hudson is always complaining about the lighting in the weather cupboard he uses for Hull as well. His pink tie looked almost white, with mid blue suits looking dark blue.

When NE&C takes weather from Leeds during breakfast in HD, there's a glaze to the picture from that studio. It also makes those presenters with olive skin such as Keeley and Katerina look brown.
