No way they’ve just used the dance ident into the news…

They also used that ident into the lunchtime news earlier that day.

Out of all the idents they have, they really picked the 'upbeat' one to link into the news.

The presentation is rather good, and at least someone within ITV is actually trying to put some excitement back into the graphic. However the idents are anodyne and let everything else down, Shame no one can push the boat out.

I quite like the new idents and music. There’s no signature tune like the 2013 set which is a shame but still nice. As for the menus though what a mess. And the colour schemes just don’t work at all for me. Very PowerPoint.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned already, but on ITVBe I’ve noticed they’ve now put in the normal ITVBe idents between the programmes rather than the LittleBe idents, but the DOG and promos for LittleBe remains as normal.

That sounds like a playout error - they did update LittleBe's opening ident to update ITVBe's logo.

This rebrand is growing on me, but a few bits are annoying.
The ITV4 'rural' ident would have been much better with a Sunday league football match or a general kickabout with jumpers for goalposts with a BBQ. Think that links more to the channel. I feel it's currently better suited to ITV2

I know ITV want to move out of local but surely the 'cityscape' ident could be done across different cities in the UK perhaps to introduce the regional news. Manchester/Liverpool for Granada, Birmingham for Central, Leeds for Yorkshire. I also agree there needs to be a safe ident too, the trains ident is totally inappropriate for the news and again feel is more suited to ITV2.

The dual branding on UTV is a mess. They need to either change the logo so it looks more like the itv one (you could change the i to a u and have it joined up). Or, bite the bullet and call it ITV1 Northern Ireland or ITV1 Ulster.

IMO, ITV3s versions are the best so far, especially trains.
