After being teased by the network in March, M6's high-end pay TV network Paris Première has launched a new presentation during the rentrée. The new look, by MotionFanClub, is in the line the network has had for a long time visually, but this evolution is inspired by op art and pop fashion, with jingle pubs taking a look at Parisian landmarks with an optical perspective; the new sound branding by Christophe Ménassier (Home-K1) also goes in the line and is heavily inspired by synth-pop and 80s music.

Have to say, this new look to Paris Premiere is really elegant, and fitting too, odd thing on the promos that they stacked the hour on top of the minutes for when the programme on, but for a high-end generalist subscription channel, I guess that is their style.
Cannes police criminelle, which starts on TF1 this evening was filmed in English because it was commissioned for AMC and funded by Viaplay TV, Acorn TV (UK) as well as AMC.
The cast is largely French, but it was decided as lead Lucie Lucas said on Instagram that the French version will be dubbed. Lucas said that they performed the roles in both languages.

TLMVPSP has a new opening sequence from today, a departure from the Boccolini-era designs for something more personable for Jarry (hence the "mis en humeur et humour par Jarry" liner instead of "présentée par Jarry"). According to Lenodal, it was designed by the Kennedy Agency.
The dubbing on Cannes police criminelle is really bad. I understand why they decided to have the main dialogue in English as it sells better on the international market, but I'd prefer French with the option for English subs than this.
Checking the HEVC spectrum on the French national terrestrial mux, and according to the data by Digital Bitrate, one of the La1ere stations in Réunion (the French overseas territory, just off the African continent) is now broadcasting in ultra HD: www.digitalbitrate.com

I would be surprised if any of the La 1ère stations are broadcasting in UHD. Looking at it via Digital Bitrate it looks like it's HD upscaled to UHD.
This does raise the question: why are they upscaling La 1ère Réunion and why are they broadcasting it to Paris?
