Saturday Night Takeaway

Doesn't help that these kind of shows never get repeated after their initial run.

Is there any reason why it couldn't be repackaged into 60 minute editions to be repeated on ITV2?

You'd cut out Win the Ads, any competition bits etc but I think you'd still have plenty of content that has a repeat value?

One benefit of this series has been the omission of those weekly sketches like Polter Guys or Double Trouble, not particularly funny and usually a drag.

It wasn't that long ago they had Bradley Walsh hosting the most recent reboot. It'd be nice to see it back but I'm guessing there's a reason it didn't return.

Noel's House Party quite often did "Best Of " editions, usually based around the Gotchas or NTV. SNT has packaged together the spoof dramas for Christmas and of course spun off In For a Penny but not done much more - though to be honest I think most people skip such episodes anyway.

The show this week was repeated on ITV2 at Sunday lunchtime. Or, as I would like to call it, "Sunday Morning Takeaway".

That's during the original run though, no different to being available on catch up streaming. I mean things like ITV2 repeats a year later, or even popping up on something like That's TV after a decade or two. The show would end up being forgotten once it ends for good because it's never repeated once it's finished for the year. When was Noel's House Party last repeated? Was it ever?

The last 4 series are available on ITVX but I guess they see little value in making older episodes available.
