A potential downside is it might not be mentioned again

This is very true, they usually repeat stories throughout the day for people who dip in, if you missed that opt out... I guess its on iplayer?

Studio C now using Chameleon titles for closing of the daytime bulletins as well. With the lower thirds still on, it made an overlap.

On Lyngsat, "BBC News" is officially renamed as "BBC News UK". "BBC World News XXX" is officially renamed as "BBC News Europe", "BBC News Middle East", "BBC News Africa" etc...

Seeing what Sky have done with their side bar over the last few days…

Could the UK feed have a similar side bar that had different UK headlines and the summary sentence with a a QR code below it linking to the website.

Could rotate with the top story from each regional ‘top’ story on the website. Most popular stories/videos etc

Would make the TV channel a vehicle directing users to the BBC News site and app, would be useful when being displayed in public places and make the UK just that little more relevant than it is right now.

The Chameleon ending has been used since Monday, but the DC hours are still using the old one.

And the flipper is back again during Sportsday  Rolleyes

This afternoon will be interesting with the Breaking News being UK centric.

It seems that for the past few days the presenter who does the 7-9am shift on the World feed also presents the UK opt throughout the day (Lewis Monday & Tuesday, Celia today)

Pleased to see the background in the UK opt having been updated to a more colored one since Monday, so it does not look like a grey mist.

It would be nice to see the likes of Martine Croxall on these UK opt-outs.

I think that's more down to Lewis standing up and Celia sitting down.
