BBC Breakfast/BBC News at One Extension?

From such a far standpoint, it does look good and brings Breakfast finally back to what it was like at TVC instead of sharing a regional news set.

Looks very Radio Ulster/Foyle as well, especially with its abstract shapes, vibrant colours and glowing effects:

Wonder how it'd be seen on air - much more exciting than the NC/WN frankenstein already, and it's just a leaked still! Cool

Watch this space...

It looks amazing! My only question is that I'm not sure how a camera is going to fit in between the screen and sofa if its being rotated for sport!

I would reason that the sofa may only be rotated about 90 degrees anticlockwise for Sport, so the cameras will go in the space which is the right hand side of the Breakfast orientation.

Looks like there *is* a bit of purple in the gradient - just like BBC One goes a bit pink.
I think they've been over-working the studio crew in rehearsals . The person on the right hand camera looks more than slightly anaemic  Dodgy

The studio set looks good, it will be interesting to see how they use it on screen. I certainly hope they don't move the 1 to this set. 'Sofa News' is not a good look. You may as well have someone reading the news from a park bench in Preston.

I this that may be a perspective of the picture, the rotating platform looks to be centred between the screen and the window, so the cameras should fit fine.

I am wondering if Sport will go live with the new set at the start of Wimbledon fortnight, as they have previously gone live with updated sets at the start of big sporting events.

Breakfast looking as predominantly orange as ever, there.

Unless those graphics on the monoliths etc are only temporary placeholders during rehearsals/piloting (which I highly doubt), then the "purple" rumours previously stated about Breakfast's new look were at the very least rather misleading (in the best traditions of Daily Mail/Express clickbait headlines).

There is a small amount of gradient in a lilac-ish shade of purple (on the cusp of where purple meets pink in the colour spectrum) in amongst all the orange, so the "purple" claims aren't technically untrue. But it's hardly as if they've ditched orange and gone all Professor Plum à la Daybreak mk1, or anything.

It looks to me as though they're swapping out the gorgeous Salford Quays skyline background for a realistic shot of Dock10 and Quay House, which undoctored look like rather uninspiring glass office buildings.

It's surprising to me that the glass surrounding the studio does not go floor to ceiling, leaving a sizeable gap for the noise of the newsroom / atrium to find its way in....

The set looks really nice!

But, branding consistency alert! The logos on the outer newsroom monoliths don't match the ones next to the desk. The BBC and Breakfast are stacked on the newsroom ones (BBC at the top, Breakfast in the middle) whereas the one next to the desk is horizonal. Also the word 'Breakfast' is larger than the BBC blocks on the studio monolith and catwalk screen. Let's hope those (minor) issues are sorted before the new set debuts.
