I wonder how swiftly (or not) ITV Hub will automatically update to ITVX on various platforms, devices etc.
I have the ITV Hub app on my Android smartphone, and a Roku box plugged into my telly. In the case of the latter, it took many months for the Chameleon update to reach the BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds apps/channels (whatever).

Itv2 twitter has tweeted again that they are changing to ITVx.

That's the reason the previous tweet was deleted, no doubt about that. Twitter didn't "have a word with them" about it.
