Which reminded me, over at the Blue Place, someone ended up with a former BBC News desk, and kept the same in their garage. Was it Charlie Wells? Can’t quite remember.
But on a more serious note: what DO they do with such a bespoke segment? Is it melted down to be reused? Or shuffled off to Peston?
Here's a few details on the updated set:

Nice of them to let Susanna's seldom seen clone out for the day. Gets a bit stuffy in that cellar.
On a serious note, the new (or perhaps 'altered' is a better word) desk is an improvement on its ginormous predecessor, however I still feel slightly uneasy about its asymmetrical design and wish the 'newsreader' section jutted out as far as the 'contributor' section, but perhaps that's just me being a bit of a weirdo.
To me, that desk looks too cramped and looked even worse when there was more than one guest.

I wonder why they’ve stuck with this design is the new smaller version has been made from scratch. IMO I feel that the rest of the studio needs to be more angular for the desk to be aesthetically pleasing.

With regards to looking a little cramped, I've thought this a few times recently, do you think we've just become accustomed to seeing more spacious setups since the pandemic? Therefore looking back at pre-pandemic sets, they naturally look too cramped. I take your point on the guest situation though, the current desk is clearly better suited for that.

Susanna live from Downing Street this morning.
The ticker appears to be having issues today; having worked initially, it's been the static 'contact details' version you can see below for the past 45 minutes or so.

Question: Who does the "Insert day here, Live from Television Centre in London, this is Good Morning Britain with "whoever's presenting" and "whoever is co-hosting" announcement.

Does that mean Richard Arnold is cancelled?, or will he present from the studio?.
