New presenters normally end up shadowing a night shift and then have a go for a couple of hours.

A number of reports from NBC correspondents on Sky News today, a sign of deeper collaboration perhaps?

Possibly it's been like that for the past few days too - nice to see reporters from Sky's American cousins featured. Would be nice if Sky reporters feature just as frequently on NBC News as well

I suppose it just speaks to the inherent imbalance in these news partnerships. The UK broadcasters need the US correspondents to enable them to cover the range of major US news stories that are of interest to UK audiences, while the US broadcasters all already have adequate resources in the UK to cover the few British stories that make the running order over there. While they could use the British reporters - ultimately, if a UK story is big enough for it to get US coverage, it is a fair chance that the UK broadcaster's teams are overrun.

MSNBC took Sky's coverage of the attempted coup in Russia last month. It does go the other way but it is very imbalanced as you pointed out.

Not sure if these have been covered before, but the videos that Sky News share of Kay Burley walking through the newsroom or perched on a desk in the newsroom talking about what they will covering on her show that morning are so terrible & cringey

So we have a new “prime time” show with Yalda Hakim, the new daily politics show, a new presenter on Sunday mornings… makes you wonder if anything else is planned.
Bolstering their world news line up is completely the right thing given the ‘competition’ from GB News. Wouldn’t be surprised if Yalda was number 1 on their list for the aborted Sky / NBC channel.

Had assumed it would be Sophie at 7 but perhaps she'll replace the various shows at 9pm whilst Yalda takes 7-9pm.
A great signing but my concern would be with "World News" dominating both Sky News and BBC News in the evening that'll see even more drift towards the garbage broadcast on other outlets. From Sky's point of view though I'd guess even if the viewership of dedicated world News programmes is lower than more generic bulletins they'd still be more desirable to advertisers.

Not forgetting that James Rubin's World News Tonight was the big flop of the 2005 revamp and didn't even last a year.
