Sky journalists are putting themselves in danger to report (excellently) from conflict zones, but apparently that doesn't matter because there isn't a musical sting when there's breaking news.
Not sure what that has to do with a discussion on the set and studio? A set can offer ways to deliver news and information, that studio doesn't assist with that.

How long have they been in the glass box now? Can't be far off being longer than they were at the Sky News Centre.

Since October 2016 I think.

I think thats what many were saying. Its slowly improving and they are add to the look so it doesnt look so boring. Just a beige hallway. Personally I think they need to add video walls or ribbons along that hallways if they are going to use those as the main presenter view. I do think a more dynamic view should be use. One in studio technique that Citytv that they used during their CityPulse programme was a slow push in after each return to the main camera presenter view instead of a locked down shot everyime. Not advocating their roving camera style, before someone misconstrues what im saying. I just talking about the signature camera push into the presenter each time it comes to them. Its very subtle if you arent paying attention.

I completely agree. I’ve always though video wraps (instead of the little tiles they have) would make a huge difference.

So far, Wilfred has been in the Corner Cubical this morning, and Jayne is in Westminster. Is the Glass Box having further tests/rehearsals or changes?
It's nice they are using the corner cubical studio more, just wish the backdrop on the screen was more visually intriguing. If they had budget, it would be nice if the screens were seamless, like in Westminster, with an L-shaped desk.

I mean the zooming looks silly but ok, as long as you get your excuse to post some out of context North American clips.

How dare you?! They're Canadian!
ETA: OK, you said *North* American, so my joke about tiresome pedantry ended up *being* tiresome pedantry and now I can't delete it. Damn!

Wow now a slow Zoom is silly? Thought others in the presentation forum might enjoy seeing examples of presentation.

Not necessarily silly, but it does immediately make me think "Yes!", "Welcome!", "And we've just heard that areas in three of Britain's biggest cities are being evacuated due to suspect dogs."
