Unsuprisingly, the Summer Nations Series rugby (the Rugby World Cup warm-ups hosted by the Six Nations sides) appears to be using the same graphics as the Autumn Nations Series, but with orange and yellow replacing light blue and pink where they appear. The Summer Nations Series logo is identical to the autumn one bar the same colour change, and it has inherited the same social media channels as the autumn.
A slight note is that it appears that each nation has also got it's own branding for the series, as was the case before the grouping of the rights (and I think England and possibly Wales was still carrying a sponsor logo in the Autumn Nations Cup in 2020). Today (Scotland v. Italy) is part of the Famous Grouse Nations Series, and I've seen a different brand used somewhere in the WRU marketing website as well.
Finally, Prime seem to be using a similar line-up of talent to their previous rugby showings, which I'd say is good news as almost everyone they use is excellent. It does look like they have reduced the size of their coverage somewhat though, with only the two pundits being used, doubling up as co-comms today, and build-ups throughout the summer only appearing to be 20 minutes long.

England bowler Stuart Broad has just announced he will retire from cricket at the end of the current Ashes test. He has been hotly tipped to join the Sky commentary team upon his retirement.

ITV will no longer show the British MotoGP next weekend because of a scheduling clash assuming with the Women's World Cup & FA Community Shield. Instead they will show the last race of the season from Valencia.

That's poor when they have four channels. The latest of the world cup matches is 10am kick-off on 6 August. The only overlap is between the first hour of the racing on ITV4 with the last hour of the Moto GP coverage which, unless there is any delay to the racing, will be the post-race show.
Hopefully WBD can put it on Quest or DMAX.

Personally, I would've thought placing on ITV2 would be ideal for MotoGP if ITV1 and ITV4 are busy, especially as certain sports that might interest certain age groups.

Bank of Ireland Nations Series for IRFU hosted fixtures (just two this time around, with a third game hosted in France on a weekend the Aviva’s not available because of Navy @ Notre Dame).
On Sky Sports, while I don’t think there’s any harbringer of a change in that promo, it does remind me that the current Sky Sports look has recently passed six years old, although it’s been refershed in the interim with new idents (essentially in a similar style to the previous ones) and a refresh of the match graphics. Wonder when there’ll be a change next. Football season starts in the lower leagues on Friday (already!) so maybe some indication there, and there’s been some media talk of a new studio for Soccer Saturday.

And isn't it all about ITVX nowadays anyway? No reason the racing couldn't be on ITV3 - that's happened numerous times in the past when other events have been on ITV1 and ITV4.
Footballs impact on other sports though really should be a much bigger competition concern than it is - we've seen pretty much all other sports impacted by how much of the broadcasting pie football swallows up. There is an argument too given the amounts concerned that the Premier League shouldn't just share it's revenue with clubs lower down the pyramid but with other sports too.

A bit of a round-up of some events...
The World Cycling Championships are in Glasgow, starting Thursday. This is a new event, bringing together all the summer UCI world championships (track, road, mountain bike, BMX etc.) - so basically a cycling Olympics.
The BBC coverage will be anchored by Clare Balding alongside Jill Douglas and JJ Chalmers. Simon Brotherton is named as commentator, so is presumably returning early from world feed duties at the Women's World Cup. Coverage will be across BBC One, Two, Three, Red Button and BBC Scotland.
The track cycling generally begins on BBC Two before moving to BBC Three at 19:00. A lot of the afternoon events (including the majority of the road races) will be shown on the BBC Scotland channel - which is not a bad idea to use the empty space as a pop-up extra channel. BBC Red Button is absent from the details in the article below, but the schedule looks like that it will carry a similar level of coverage to BBC Scotland.
As with any cycling, there will be extensive coverage across Eurosport/Discovery+/GCN+. At least for the first weekend, only the track events and the road races are receiving linear coverage on Eurosport 1 & 2. And I'm not certain if there is any surrounding presentation, this is Eurosport so I'd suspect that the road events will get studio coverage but the rest will be commentary only.

The World Para Swimming Championships began today in Manchester. Like their athletics equivalent, it will shown only via the Channel 4 Sport YouTube channel.

S4C have announced they will show every Wales game from the Rugby World Cup. It looks like this a reductioncompared to previous editions, as the usual additional coverage of the opening game, a quarter-final, a semi-final and the final is not mentioned in the press release. S4C will also once again show highlights of Wales' matches that are live on Amazon Prime in the coming weeks.

And an interview in The Telegraph with John Inverdale, who as I suspected after he did his final Wimbledon commentary has all but retired from broadcasting by the sounds of it.
